Things people ask before buying.

Do I need NinjaTrader OrderFlow+ add-on?

No. iotec Core rebuilds the entire OF stack from raw tick data. You only need a regular NT8 license (free for sim, lifetime for live trading).

What versions of NinjaTrader are supported?

NinjaTrader 8 (any recent release with SharpDX bundled). Tested on 8.1.4+. We do not support NinjaTrader 7.

Can I install on multiple computers?

Each license binds to one device on first activation. If you need to move to a new PC (hardware upgrade, Windows reinstall, etc.), email support — 1 free device reset every 6 months.

What if the indicator doesn't work for me?

Both iotec Core and iotec GEX are one-time purchases with a 14-day no-questions-asked refund. Email us and we process it.

Do I need a Schwab account for iotec GEX?

Yes. iotec GEX uses the Charles Schwab Developer API to access your own options chain data (BYO model). You'll need a brokerage account and a free registered Developer app. We guide you through the OAuth setup during onboarding — the indicator opens an embedded login window the first time.

Why BYO instead of subscription with bundled data?

Redistributing Schwab data commercially violates their TOS. We could license OPRA or Polygon and pass that cost as a subscription, but that triples the price and adds another bill to your month. Since most options traders already have a Schwab account, BYO keeps the price low and makes your data yours.

How do I get updates?

When we release a new version, you receive an email with the changelog and updated download link. Your existing license keeps working — no re-purchase, ever.

Is the data sent to your server safe?

The indicator sends only your license key, an anonymized device hash, and the DLL hash for tamper detection. We never collect your trades, positions, watchlists, or chart configs.

What happens if your server goes down?

The indicator caches its license validation locally with a 72-hour grace period. So even if our servers are temporarily unreachable, you keep trading without interruption.

Can I get a custom indicator built?

Possibly. Email us with your spec and we'll quote.
